Mr. Philip Shaibu, Edo State Deputy Governor, Tuesday received a delegation of All Farmers Association of Nigeria, AFAN, Edo State Chapter, with a pledge to support farmers in order to guarantee food security in the State.
The AFAN EXCO visit to the Government House, Benin City, was led by the State Chairman, HRH Alhaji Bako Dogwo, as the Deputy Governor commended the farmers for their unwavering commitment to agro production and food security for the citizenry.
Shaibu assured of the State Government’s readiness to collaborate with AFAN, especially in the commercial production of quality local rice, while accepting to be the patron of the association.

Addressing the Deputy Governor, state Chairman of AFAN, HRH Dogwo, reeled out the numerous achievements the association has recorded so far.
He appealed to the state government for support and collaboration for the economic growth of Edo State.
