Sir Siminalayi Fubara has survived as the Supreme Court on Thursday affirmed his election as Rivers State governor.
The alex court in it’s lead judgment read by Justice Ibrahim Saulawa, said it found no reason to dismiss the verdicts of the Court of Appeal and the Rivers State Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal, which upheld Fubara’s victory at the poll.
The candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Mr. Tonye Cole, had challenged the governorship election held in the state on March 18, 2023, where Fubara was returned as winner.
