Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State, has commissioned the first phase of the Electrical Village at Kilometer 17, Port Harcourt/Aba Expressway, Iriebe.
Fubara on his X on Thursday, said: “As part of activities to mark our one year in office, I commissioned the first phase of the Electrical Village at Kilometer 17, Port Harcourt/Aba Expressway, Iriebe and also flagged off the second phase of the project.
“Though, it is not a project directly executed by our government, commissioning of the project is a clear expression of our deep commitment to opening up the state for more investments and encouraging investors to leverage our support and incentives to make our state a thriving commercial hub.
“It further demonstrates the obvious role public-private partnership plays in expanding the potentials and opportunities to make our state prosperous and our people empowered.
“Also today, I swore in Stephens Jumbo as a Judge of the Rivers State High Court as part of my statutory function.
“I used the occasion to charge our judges to be firm and to always stand for the truth,” he added.
