Lagos lawmakers express concern over epileptic power supply

The Lagos State House of Assembly has expressed concern over epileptic power supply across the state.

Members of the House who took turns to express their displeasure during the plenary presided by Speaker of the House, Dr. Mudashiru Obasa called on all appropriate authorities including Ikeja Electric to address the impending danger likely to emanate as a result of the power failure.

One of the lawmakers, representing Ikorodu II, Aro Moshood lamented that there has been incessant power outage in Ijede area of Ikorodu local government as residents in the area have been thrown into perpetual darkness.

According to him, the issues of power outage with the Electricity distribution company at Ijede, Ikorodu local government area, calls for immediate attention as failure to address the issue could lead to untold pain and agony in the community.

His colleagues who shared the same sentiment called on all the stakeholders to find a lasting solution to the issue.

In his response, the Speaker, Obasa, sympathized with the affected people and promised that the House will continue to be the voice of the voiceless.
