The Supreme Court has upheld the election of Governor Umo Eno as the validly elected governor of Akwa Ibom State in the March 18, 2023, governorship election.
The Supreme Court struck out the appeals by governorship candidates of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Mr. Akanimo Udofia, the New Nigerian People’s Party, NNPP, Sen John Udoedehe and the Young Progressives Party, YPP, Sen Bassey Akpan.
The appeals were struck out following the withdrawal of the appeals by the appellants when the matters were called up for hearing on Thursday in Abuja.
