Three self imposed leaders of Petroleum Tanker Drivers, PTD, branch of Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers, NUPENG, have spent the second night in prison custody.
The defendants, were alleged to have organised kangaroo branch elections and allegedly organised persons to attacked the legitimate leaders of the union at PTD national secretariat of the union in Abuja.
They are spending second night in prison custody after their arraignment before an Abuja Magistrate Court for alleged attempted murder and arson.
The trio of Lucky Osesua, Dayyabu Garga and Humble Obinna were formerly arranged before Chief Magistrate Court 5 in Wuse Zone 2, Thursday, and further to be detained for further investigation at Keffi Prison by the police.

Other suspects, allegedly on the run and Police authority is on their trail include, Osahan Osamuyi – Benin; Musa Dennis – Port Harcourt; Walter Ogbeni – Warri; Peter Moudebelu – Enugu; Akinlolu Olabisi – Lagos; Godwin Nwaka – Owerri and Tiamiyu Sikiru- Warri.
Others are Monday Bello – Warri; Monday Ileso – Warri; Emmanuel Anegbe; Ibrahim Tuge – Kaduna; Abdul Shaibu (Tallest); Steve Aliba; John Nzor; John Amajuonyi; Zaria Arefbo; Emma Echewodor and Lawrence Mowetei.
It will be recalled that Dayabu a former commissioner and a serving local government chairman in Plateau State is now prison custody awaiting criminal trial over his ambition to be Tanker Driver chairman.
