Presidential Candidate of Labour Party, LP, Mr. Peter Obi, has called on Nigerians to remain committed to the vision of a new Nigeria, as the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal, PEPT, resumed sitting in Abuja.
Obi and his party, are in their petition, contending that the February 25, poll was rigged by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, in favour of President Bola Tinubu of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.
They meanwhile, open their case before the court on Tuesday, by calling on their first witness, Lawrence Nwakaeti, who identified a document relating to a court proceeding in the United States of America, USA, pertaining to Tinubu’s alleged indictment in a drug related case.
Obi in his tweets after the court hearing, said: “The Presidential Election Petition Tribunal resumed sitting today. Datti Baba-Ahmed and I were present in court, with members of LP and the Obidients family.
“I have maintained that diligently following the rule of law in our quest to resolve the electoral impasse remains sacrosanct. The judiciary is part of our democratic process and a critical governance tool which must be held in high esteem.

“As we journey through the judicial process, I urge all Nigerians to remain committed to the vision of a New Nigeria. Nigeria remains our common patrimony and in unity, we must sacrifice to make it better,” he added.
