Ahead of the 2024 governorship poll in Edo State, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the state, Mrs. Victoria Amu, has disclosed her intention to step down from the governorship race.
Amu, who commended the Senator representing Edo North senatorial district, Mr. Adams Oshiomole, for excellent management of APC’s matters, said she would no longer purchase the party’s nomination forms.
According to her, she would abide by the APC’s decisions.
She noted that the party’s resolutions were larger than any individual’s ambitions, saying:
“While I am passionate about the prospect of serving the good people of Edo State as their governor, I want to make it unequivocally clear that my ambition is not greater than the supremacy of our party.
