EFCC arrests 69 suspected internet fraudsters in Osun

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has arrested 69, suspected internet fraudsters in Ile-Ife, Osun State.

The suspects were arrested on Wednesday at Oduduwa Estate area of Ile-Ife, Osun State following actionable intelligence on their suspected involvement in fraudulent internet-related activities.

It was gathered that credible intelligence linked Oduduwa Estate with activities of suspected internet fraudsters.

Some of the suspects and vehicles recovered from them

The suspects include Dankuwo Erioluwa, Mustapha Oluwanisola, Adeyeye Ebenezer, Toromade Adedeji, Busari Ayodeji, Adeleye Emmanuel, Oluwasakin Favour, Olubini Michael, Oluwadara Benny, Gbadamosi Omotola, Okusipe Paul, Nnekwelugo Enaemeka, Aghwaritoma Wisdom, Adesina Khalid and Micheal Oluwaseun.

Others are: Obafemi Mayowa, Eronmonsele Igberaese, Salau Oluwawumi, Jaiyeola Temitope, Ajayi Olanrenwaju, Oguntade David, Abdulmumini Abdulsamad, Tolulope Folaranmi, Kayode Ajuwon, Akinyemi Aduragbemi and Ayodeji Adedeji.

Also arrested were Alawode Segun, Junaid Adeyinka, Akolade Sunday, Oyeniyi Andrew, Oladusu Morakinyo, Ojo Ifeoluwa, Akwuaka Blaise, Ogunleye Ayobami, Adebowale Diekola, Arekemase Ridwan and Ajigbolamu Ademola.

Others include Asegun Damola, Adibe Ebubechukwu, Ohakanu Chidubem, Adeoye Irejah, Adesokan Adekunle, Olorunfemi Oladimeji, Odeyemi Victor, Alimi Akorede, Okeke Francis, Fawehinmi Simeon, Soniola Elijah, Yahaya Salihu, Daramola Olamide, Agbabikaka Mojuolaoluwa and Kingsley Nweake.

Also in custody are Camara Abdullahi, Aminu Kehinde, Bayo Iyanuoluwa, Alao Oluwaseun, Oloruntoba Adeniyi, Idowu Oluwaseun, Maiye Olasile, Oyelami Oluwaseyi, Emmanuel Nsochukwu, Komolafe Tosin, Praise Izuagie, Umehidi Obinna, Olujulo Ifeoluwa, Omejeh Stanley, Latilo Tolu, Oluwaseun Akinrelere and Great Onufomah.

Items recovered include exotic cars, 190 mobile phones and 40 laptops among others.

The suspects, according to the commission, have made useful statements and would be charged to court as soon as investigations were concluded.
