Governor Alex Otti of Abia State has played host to Polish Ambassador to Nigeria, Mrs. Joana Tarnawska, who paid him an official visit at Government House.
Otti on his X handle on Thursday, said: “I had the honour of hosting the Polish Ambassador to Nigeria, Her Excellency, Mrs. Joana Tarnawska, who paid me an official visit.
“She was also accompanied by an Abia-born former Polish Government Parliamentarian, John Godson.
“We had a fruitful discussion on how to strengthen relations between Poland and Abia State, especially in the areas of agriculture, mining, education and culture.
“I was delighted to learn that Poland is interested in partnering with us to develop our various sectors and create more opportunities for our people.

“I assured her that Abia State is the best place to invest in Nigeria, as we have a vibrant and creative population, a conducive business environment, and a visionary government.
“I also invited her to visit Aba, the industrial hub of the South East, where she can witness the ingenuity and innovation of our artisans and entrepreneurs.
“I believe that with more support from our foreign partners, we can produce world-class products that can compete favourably in the international market.
“I thank Her Excellency for her visit and I look forward to working with her to foster a mutually beneficial cooperation between Poland and Abia State,” he added.
