The Federal Government has denied proposing N105,000 Minimum Wage during the on-going negotiation between organised labour and government.
Special Adviser Information and Strategy to President Tinubu, Bayo Onanuga in a statement on Thursday, entitled ‘No Proposal for N105,000 Minimum Wage by Finance Minister, Wale Edun,’ said:
“The Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Wale Edun, has not proposed a minimum wage of N105,000.
“Any reports or stories circulating that claim otherwise are false and misleading.
“We urge the public to disregard such misinformation and rely on official channels for accurate updates on economic policies.
“The spread of fake news can cause unnecessary confusion and panic among the populace. It is essential to verify the authenticity of information before sharing it.
“The government is committed to transparency and will continue to provide accurate and timely information through official statements and trusted media sources,” the statement added.
