Oyetola’s ministry will boost Nigeria’s economy -Osun monarch

A prominent traditional ruler in Osun State, Aragbiji of Iragbiji, Oba Abdur-Rasheed Odundun IV has described the Osun ex-governor, Adegboyega Oyetola’s Ministry of Marine and Blue Economy as signifying economic prosperity for Nigeria.

The Oba in a statement by Dr. Jimoh Olorede, Secretary, and Alh. Adeoye Bakare, Chairman of Media and Publicity Committee for Oyetola’s reception at his country-home, Iragbiji, said:

“With Oyetola as Minister of the new Ministry of Marine and Blue Economy, and with his efficient management, fiscal discipline and financial expertise, Nigerians should expect a big boost in the nation’s economy as his ministry will complement other Ministries to achieve this.”

According to the Chairman of the Organising Committee for the reception, Engr. Taiye Adeyemi, the monarch and Iragbiji community where the Minister hails from, would be hosting him at Iragbiji on coming Saturday.

He added: “We are not just holding the reception for the fun of it, but for the celebration of Oyetola’s exceptional performance as Osun ex-governor, and also particularly for the certainty that he will replicate his technocratic expertise in his administration as the maiden helmsman of the newly created ministry.”

Adeyemi further said that Oba Olabomi had inaugurated the Reception Committee before the appointment of Oyetola as Minister by President Bola Tinubu.

“This is because we’re yet to hold a befitting reception for him as a Community since he exited as governor of Osun State, so this is a dual celebratory reception for the Minister.

“We are celebrating the Minister in appreciation of his numerous contributions to the society, and to immortalise him, we are naming streets after him and erecting beautiful monuments in his honour, based on communal consensus and terms of reference given to the Committee by Aragbiji,” he said.
