The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, congratulates the Super Eagles for defeating the Bafana Bafana of South Africa on Wednesday night to qualify for the final of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, in Cote d’Ivoire.
PDP National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba in a statement on Thursday, in Abuja, said:
“In all their matches, from the group stage of the tournament to the semi-finals, the Super Eagles displayed the Nigerian resilient and fighting spirit for which our nation and compatriots are known all over the world.
“Such never-say-die disposition and ultimate victory of the Super Eagles even in the face of challenging situation point to the fact that with our collective Will our nation will overcome its present challenges.
“The PDP prays for the Super Eagles and charges the team to continue in this spirit and bring greater honour to the nation by lifting the coveted trophy at the finals on Sunday,” the party added.
