Though the did not secure 25 percent of the votes in Abuja, the Presidential Election Petition Court, PEPC, on Wednesday, has confirmed the election of President Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
The tribunal dismissed the petitions of Mr. Peter Obi of Labour Party and his party and Alhaji Abubakar Atiku and the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Allied Peoples Movement, APM.
Chairman of the five-member panel of justices, Justice Haruna Tsammani said that the petitioner’s failed to prove their allegations beyond reasonable doubts.
Justice Tsammani held that the petitions, lacking in merit, were consequently dismissed.
He also ruled that all parties would bear their respective costs.

*Senator Kashim Shettima was eligible to contest the poll.

*INEC was at liberty to choose its method of transmitting results.
