LAGOS— For most people, a 40th birthday means cake, music, and maybe a few friends raising glasses. For Dr. Ezekiel Onyedikachi, a.k.a. EeZee Tee, it means something else entirely: a full-day gospel music industry bootcamp followed by thanksgiving dinner.
On October 1, the founder of EeZee Conceptz Global will swap balloons for brainstorming sessions as he celebrates not just his birthday but also two decades in the gospel music scene.
The event, cheekily tagged DrEeZee@40, kicks off with a Music and Business Seminar in the morning and winds down with a Thanksgiving Dinner in the evening.
“I didn’t want to just eat rice and drink wine,” EeZee Tee quipped. “I thought, why not share some wisdom from my 20-year journey instead?”
That wisdom, according to organisers, will come in the form of keynote talks, panel discussions, and practical tips on everything from monetising talent to building lasting careers. In short: less champagne, more strategy.
Reflecting on his path from child instrumentalist to music director, artist manager, and label boss, EeZee Tee described his story as one of “trials, triumphs, and divine grace.”
“I don’t want those experiences to be wasted; I want to pour them into others so we can raise more giants in the ecosystem,” EeZee Tee said.
But don’t mistake the serious agenda for a dry affair. With gospel stars, entrepreneurs, and ministers on the guest list, the atmosphere promises to be more celebration with substance than sermon with spreadsheets.
Attendance won’t come cheap — ₦250,000 for early birds, ₦300,000 thereafter — a fee EeZee Tee insists is about commitment, not commercialisation. “This meeting is not just an event; it is a volcano of wisdom compressed into one room within 12 hours,” he said.
