A’Ibom begins disbursement of N100m to students with disabilities

Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State, has directed the disbursement of the N100 million Education Trust Fund to support students with disabilities in the state.

Eno in a post on his X handle, said: “Today, as part of my administration’s commitment to enhancing education in Akwa Ibom State, I directed the Commissioner for Education, Mrs. Idongesit Etiebiet to commence the disbursement of ₦100 million Education Trust Fund to support students with disabilities in the state.

I have also authorized funds to be made available for bursary disbursement to all Akwa Ibom State students in public tertiary institutions across Nigeria.

In addition, a dedicated website: http://bursary.akwaibomstate.gov.ng has been launched to streamline the process. Our students can now register with ease and access their bursaries effortlessly.

Under my stewardship, education will remain paramount at every level. Together, we will forge a future where knowledge is accessible; where no child would be left behind,” he added.
