Bayelsa State has lost its former acting governor, Nestor Binabo, to the cold hands of death.
Binabo was, until his death, a chieftain of the All Progressive Congress, APC, Bayelsa State.
Binabo, who also served as a deputy speaker and speaker of the state House of Assembly, according to family sources, died in the early hours of Thursday about 4a.m., in an undisclosed hospital in Abuja.
The news of his demise was made public by his son, Mr. Binabo Momos.
He posted on his WhatsApp status, “I thought you’ll pull through, Dad. But God knows best.”

Another source close to the ex-governor’s family said Mr Binabo, a former classroom teacher, who briefly served as the acting governor of Bayelsa State between January 27 to February 14, 2012, had been battling with an ailment over a year.
He also held the position of a Commissioner for Youth and Conflict Resolution in the state.
