Edo dep gov celebrates Oba of Benin on his birthday, coronation anniversary

Edo State deputy governor, Mr. Philip Shaibu, has celebrated the Oba of Benin, on his birthday and seven years coronation anniversary.

Shaibu in a post on his confirmed Facebook handle, said:

“I am profoundly delighted to celebrate our highly revered monarch, my own father, HRH Omo N’Oba N’Edo, Uku Akpolokpolo, Oba Ewuare II, the Oba of Benin Kingdom, on this auspicious occasion of his birthday and seven years coronation anniversary.

“Your ascension to the ancient throne of your forebears as ordained by the Divine Creator has ushered in a new era of peace, cultural renaissance and progressive development to the Great Benin Kingdom and Edo State at large.

“Your majesty, the royal candor and charismatic fatherly disposition you have manifested exhibited since your enthronement have deepened the game and honour Benin Kingdom is renowned for over the ages.

“Umogun, it is heartwarming to join the Benin Royal Family and well-meaning Edo sons and daughters, and indeed Nigerians both at home and in the diaspora to rejoice with you on these momentous double celebrations.

“May Almighty God and our ancestors continue to grant you many more happy birthdays and peaceful reign on the throne in good health, sound mind, longevity and prosperity.

“Our great king, my father, permit me to renew the assurance of my absolute loyalty to the ancient Benin throne, now and always,” he added.
