Eko Bridge, Lagos

The Federal Government said it would close for 40 day, Island-bound lane of the Alaka-Costain-Iganmu section of Eko Bridge, Lagos, beginning from Sunday, for repair work.

Mrs. Olukorede Kesha, Federal Controller of Works, Lagos State, in a statement, said the announcement was made in collaboration with Lagos State Government, due to damage noticed on some of the bridge components needing urgent rehabilitation.

Kesha said that delay might compromise the integrity and structural stability of the entire bridge to endanger users.
