The Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, and Trade Union Congress, TUC, on Monday, suspended the planned indefinite nationwide strike action billed for October 2.
Organised labour agreed to suspend the strike for 30 days.
Recall that the NLC and TUC had directed its affiliate member Unions across the country to mobilise to shut down the country following the refusal of government to adhere to the seven points demand by labour.
The demands were to ameliorate the suffering of Nigerian Workers and the impoverished masses of the country.
After the meeting between government and Labour, on Monday, where some of labour demands were meet, NLC and TUC agreed to suspend the strike for 30 days.
Meanwhile, the strike was suspended after government and labour signed an MOU.
