President Bola Tinubu has forwarded the names of the service chiefs to the Senate for screening and confirmation.
The Service Chiefs, President Tinubu wants the Senate to confirm include Rear Admiral Emmanuel Ogalla as Chief of Naval Staff and Air Vice Marshal Hassan Abubakar as the Chief of Air Staff and Major General Emmanuel Undiandeye Chief of Defence Intelligence.
Others are Major General Christopher Musa as Chief of Defence Staff, CDS, and Major General Taoreed Lagbaja as Chief of Army Staff.

President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio, during plenary on Tuesday, read the letter forwarded by President Tinubu for the confirmation of the Service Chiefs.
The Senate President said that the request was in line with the Act establishing the Armed Forces.
After the letter was read, same was referred to the Committee of the Whole as there was no Standing Committee on Armed Forces, yet.
The result of the development is that the Service Chiefs would be screened on the floor of the Senate.
